KIITizen is provided by Afixi Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (“Afixi”, “we”, “our” or “us”). We aim to handle information responsibly and respect user privacy.

1. Scope

This policy applies to the KIITizen mobile application and related services provided by Afixi. It should be read alongside any notices shown in the app for a particular feature.

2. Information and app features

The information involved depends on the features available in the version you use and what you choose to submit. Features may include campus information, events, lost-and-found posts, listings, borrowing or lending requests, and blood-donation-related requests or profiles.

If you enter information into a profile, post, listing, request, or message, it may be processed to provide that feature and shown to other users where the feature is designed to share it. Please share only information you are comfortable providing. Some potential fields, such as contact details, blood group, allergies, or other health-related information, can be sensitive; provide them only when you understand why they are requested and choose to do so.

Not every feature listed above will necessarily be enabled in every release. The features and fields presented in the app determine what information you may choose to provide.

3. Device permissions

If a feature asks for a device permission, such as access to photos, the camera, or notifications, that permission supports the relevant feature. You can review or revoke app permissions through your device settings. Permissions may vary by app version and the features you use.

4. How information is used

Information you choose to provide may be used to operate the feature you requested, display posts or requests to the relevant campus community, help users contact one another where supported, provide support, maintain service security, and comply with applicable law. We do not use KIITizen personal information to create advertising profiles or sell it to advertisers.

5. Sharing and disclosure

Afixi does not sell, rent, trade, or disclose KIITizen users’ personal details to third-party organisations for their own marketing or commercial benefit. Information may be visible to other KIITizen users when you intentionally submit it to a feature designed to share a post, listing, request, or profile.

Limited technical processing may be necessary to operate hosting, security, or app distribution. We aim to limit such processing to what is necessary and apply appropriate safeguards. We may also disclose information if required by law or valid legal process, or where necessary to protect safety, rights, or security.

6. Security and retention

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect information handled by the service, although no system can be guaranteed completely secure. Information may be retained while needed to provide a feature, maintain service integrity, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. Retention and deletion options may depend on the feature and app version.

7. Your choices

8. Children’s privacy
